About Course

This course is the first of a series designed to prepare you for the NCLEX-RN exam. Over the next five weeks, we will cover critical areas of nursing practice, including maternity nursing, the integumentary system, the renal system, and paediatrics. The course also includes a dedicated session on effective passing strategies to build your confidence and test-taking skills from the very beginning.

What Will You Learn?

  • Discuss the key concepts of maternity nursing, including human reproduction and fetal development.
  • Identify and manage common complications for mothers and newborns during the prenatal, intranatal, and postnatal periods.
  • Describe the structure and function of the skin and discuss common integumentary disorders.
  • Explain the anatomy and physiology of the renal and urinary systems and outline the medical and nursing management of common urological and nephrology disorders.
  • Recognize common acute and chronic paediatric conditions and their age-related manifestations.
  • Apply effective test-taking strategies to improve your performance on the NCLEX-RN exam.

Course Content

Module (Week) 1: Maternity Nursing
Topics: This Module covers the fundamentals of maternity nursing, including human reproduction, fetal development, and the appropriate nursing care for mothers and newborns during the prenatal, intranatal, and postnatal periods. Module (Week) 2: Integumentary System

Module (Week) 3: Renal System
Topics: You will learn about the anatomy and physiology of the renal and urinary systems, the medical and nursing management of common urological and nephrology disorders, and the different types of dialysis. Syllabus Reference: NCLEX-RN SYLLABUS PLAN, Week 10.

Module (Week) 4: Paediatrics

Module 5: Passing Strategies
