Understanding the Exam That Launches Your International Nursing Career
Steps to Become a Nurse in the USA
Step 1: Credential Evaluation – CGFNS
Submit your academic and professional documents to CGFNS (Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) for verification. This step ensures your qualifications meet U.S. nursing standards.
Step 2: Register with a U.S. Board of Nursing
Choose a state and apply to its Board of Nursing. Each state has different requirements. We help you understand which is best based on your goals and background.
Step 3: Apply for Authorization to Test (ATT)
Once approved by the Board of Nursing, submit your ATT application. This is your official clearance to schedule the NCLEX exam.
Step 4: Schedule & Prepare for the NCLEX
Book your NCLEX-RN or PN exam through Pearson VUE and begin a guided study plan with our tutorials, mock exams, and coaching.
Step 5: Pass the Exam & Get Licensed
After passing the NCLEX, the state Board of Nursing will issue your RN license, allowing you to practice professionally in that state.
Step 6: License Endorsement (If Needed)
Want to work in another state? We assist with RN license endorsement, so your license is recognized across different U.S. states.
